Home Retail Group (Argos / Homebase) the leading UK home retailer gets ready to launch new sofa shopping site saveonasofa.co.uk -

The group says the site could be the first of many new projects.. “Several complimentary domain names have also been purchased that may be of use in the future.” No launch date has been set for the saveonsofa.co.uk site..

Home Retail Group is one of the UK’s leading retailers with sales of £6bn in the last financial year. HRG recently purchased intellectual property rights to Alba and Bush trademarks for 15.25m.

IMRG Predicts Busiest Day For Online Shopping

The internet trade body IMRG predicts UK Christmas online retail sales could reach £13.6bn ($19.9bn).

They predict the peak online shopping hour will happen between 1300-1400 GMT when £28m may be spent online in an hour. Today we expect to see sales soar by 25% compared to last year, the firm predicted. Some 29 million people are expected to use the internet to buy Christmas presents this year.
